The Making Enhanced collective have been awarded an Outreach and Events Grant from the Design History Society to coordinate a symposium in autumn 2016. At our event, the 'Making Enhanced Pin-Up', we will bring together academics, designers and wider audiences to engage with the research currently being carried out by members of Making Enhanced. The aim is to invite those audiences to become part of the research process - each partnership within the collective will present their research-in-progress and ask specialists and members of professions relevant to their area of enquiry to join the debate. My Making Enhanced partner, ceramicist Tamsin van Essen, and I will be discussing the latest developments in our co-research. It will be a lively day-long event allowing us to continue our work as designer-researchers: one of Making Enhanced's key beliefs is that we are all researchers. Watch this space for more details.
