On the 14th–19th May 2018, I was honoured to receive a bursary to accompany members of the Decorative Arts Society on a trip to Budapest, Pécs and the surrounding areas. We visited a rich and varied range of basilicas, museums, workshops, palaces, synagogues and galleries, seeing architecture by Ödön Lechner, glass by Miksa Róth and the Gödöllő Artists’ Colony, amongst many other fascinating sites. I am very grateful to the Decorative Arts Society for their generous support and am as a result equipped with a multitude of new ideas for further research.
